Before you share your story ...
LET ME TELL YOU MINE
My name is Nikkol Adams, and while I’m a self-taught photographer, that’s just one part of who I am. I’m also a daughter, a life partner, a mother, a therapist, a yogi, a traveler, and, at my core, a wonderer—constantly exploring the world, searching for new experiences and making memories. Every day, I’m moving towards turning my dreams into reality, and photography has become a significant part of that journey.
I bought my first camera to capture moments from my adventures, to hold onto the memories I didn’t want to forget. But over time, it became more than just snapping photos—it became my way of truly seeing the world. For me, photography is about connecting with the moment, feeling its depth, and capturing something real and meaningful. Every time I pick up my camera, I’m reminded that even the simplest moments carry so much beauty and emotion.
Photography, for me, is a way of telling stories without words. It’s an intentional and personal process that allows me to hold on to time, capturing moments that might otherwise slip away. Each photo I take reflects the care I put into capturing the meaningful details that make life so special. I love knowing that through my photos, I can revisit those memories and carry them with me always.

I love adventure!
I am constantly seeking new experiences to add to my memory bank and photo albums. I find the world a fascinating place with so much wonder to offer. You could describe me as a wild child at heart with old soul vibes.
My Approach...
Photography is more than just a profession for me—it’s how I see and experience the world. I find beauty in everyday moments and love capturing the diversity of human experience through my lens. Each style of photography offers a different way to tell a story, whether it’s through the simplicity of a portrait, the raw emotion of a candid shot, or the creativity of abstract compositions.
No matter what I’m shooting, my goal is to capture the essence of the moment and evoke an emotional response. I see photography as a way to freeze time, highlight small details, and reveal the beauty hidden in the everyday. Through my lens, I strive to create images that resonate with people and reflect the depth of life’s moments.

My Why...
In my life, I wear many hats. Professionally, I’m not just a photographer; I’m also a registered clinical counsellor. In my practice, I support people in crisis—families struggling to raise their children, couples striving to connect, individuals grappling with grief and loss, and those dealing with trauma. This work isn’t easy, and while it’s humbling to witness personal growth, photography provides me with a refreshing perspective.
Through my lens, I see families and individuals at their best, capturing moments of joy, love, and connection. I witness people truly living, not just surviving. Photography is more than a click of a button; it’s an emotional experience we share together, creating memories that I hope will remind you of the foundation of your journey and celebrate the beauty and depth of these moments.
